About tricotgirl

I learned to sew and knit literally at my grandmother's knee and have been honing those skills for over thirty-five years. For me, sewing and knitting have always been much more than pastimes or casual hobbies: rather, they are lifelong passions, reflecting the kind of person I am and how I see the world around me. Because of this, catering to those who also care about historically important patterns is not simply a matter of good business but is all about a live, loving connection to those who appreciate and create fine apparel. Since my customers and I share a similar passion for beautiful fashion and design, I work hard to make sure each buyer is personally delighted with both my products and service. Patterns are wonderful mirrors of our changing times, of our free society's dynamic faces and moods. As profound expressions of artistic sensibilities, the styles which patterns directly embody show off our self-image as well as - or often better than - historical displays in museums and galleries. Every one of my patterns is carefully chosen for authentic vintage value and aesthetic power. Each is painstakingly inspected for integrity: there are no counterfeits, copies, or cheap knock-offs. I make a point of advertising honestly, so you are always certain of exactly what you are buying. Repeat business lies at the heart of my trade. So take a leisurely look at the patterns I have to offer, you may well see a few classics you'd like for your own project or collection!
